Reviews For Live at Woodstock By Artist Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • Nostalgia or Time Capsule?

I'm glad I listened to the enthusiastic reviewers and impulse-purchased. Honestly, just the idea of finally hearing a recording of their Woodstock performance was enough for me. Sure, this takes me back...to young to be at Woodstock, but just the right age for CCR to be an essential transitional rock band for my youth. Memories of these songs certainly takes me back, but the added flavor of BEING THERE, if only because of the slighter looseness of the playing and the sense of liveness...I don't know. For me, this is a great piece of the past. And like someone below says, it's pretty amazing how contemporary this band sounds these days. And, ya know, Fogerty's voice and delivery is iconic.

Now i only wish i was in Woodstock 1969 instead of The St Patrick Day Care Center.

Love the release but its painful to the ears. Music is great but sound is shrill and crackly can't believe itys the best they can offer especially the $4.99 cost and company behind it. Todays tech offers much more sonically.

Rather them reunite, make new tunes than hear the same re-released songs played live at some other venue or event.

If you didn’t know the tunes or Fogerty’s unmistakeable drawl you would believe this was a current, touring rock band. The live arrangements of these classics are intricate and the band is a tight unit. Puts to shame any jam band of the era even when they add a five minute solo to the usually three minute pop hit like Susie Q. Glad to finally hear it released from the vaults.
  • Finally!!!

This is a great album. My wife bought me the vinyl album for Christmas. The two best songs (which can’t be down-loaded here by themselves) are Keep On Chooglin’ and Suzie Q.

An amazing Rock n Roll record that I'd given up hope on ever hearing. Don't hesitate.

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
