“Let Them Know We’re Fed” Love the I Disagree album. The (more) edition contains 4 new songs. I like both the original and new songs. There is something about it. because some songs are empowered and contain strong messages and some songs like Sick of the Sun and Don’t Go Outside are very sad. The I Disagree Tour introduced me to VOWWS and for that I am glad. Thank you Poppy 🎶

At its core, this is a Poppy album with a very post X and Scary Mask sound, blending the electronic and industrial sounds she’s experimented with along nu-metal tiffing and huge Queen/Maiden solos, heavy drums and even some screams. If this sounds like your jam, songs like Bite Your Teeth, BLOODMONEY, and the title track, I Disagree, will satiate your bloodlust. However the record isn’t just a one dimensional listen of thumping riffy Poppy- the other, softer side of her sound is still here, ethereal and moody, more haunting than heavy, and shines on tracks like Sick Of The Sun and Don’t Go Outside. New additions “More” gives us are BLEEP BLOOP, which adds a pulsing NINesque soundtrack to Poppy’s new blend of rap, high cleans, and screams. If It Bleeds has a dynamic and prevailing electronic sound to it throughout, a Poppy industrial metal song, if you will. Don’t Ask maintains the softer side, with a beautiful hook, more minimalist instrumentation, and just enough of what we come to expect to hit all the important spots for a fan. Rounding out the “More” lineup, Khaos X4 is more of the uptempo heavy metal sound, wild guitars and sudden bursts of pretty sections to contrast the chaos to follow. Overall this is still the “I Disagree” album at it’s heart, and it’s a solid 5 Stars for me. Different yet familiar, exciting throughout. Worth the buy.

Although I Disagree was a pretty good album, it felt almost like an EP with it having only 10 tracks. The additional 4 songs on this version has definitely added a more cohesive sound, and a more satisfying conclusion to the album as a whole. Poppy sounds like she knows what she’s really doing in these last 4 tracks, and I’m intrigued to hear what her next album will sound like.

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
