Reviews For In This Life - EP By Artist Kaskade

  • Kaskade Is The Best When It Comes To Chilled Lounge

Kaskade is pretty much the best thing going in electronic music. Every album is solid and the remixes are too. Every OM records release has a kaskade song or remix. This song is cool and backs up my claim.
  • Not bad, but

This is a great track... but, its the same stuff. Kaskade is awesome, but i'd like to see him play a bit more with some new flavour, while keeping his signature touch. I think the cabin crew radio edit is just what I am looking for, a bit more upbeat.
  • italo-brit spirit?

Kaskade is not top-of-mind for me when it comes to house, but Mario Fabriani's remix definitely says Best of UK Garage--worth the download time :)
  • Great song but....

I'm not as huge fan of house as I once was, but Kaskade does the job well for me when it comes to this genre. This new song is a fresh set of material from the Bay Area House genius, a good combo of melodic tones with a jazzy beat, and of course, a great hook. He utilizes the guest singer's voice so well; it does not seem just another "house" song, but stuff that could be played on the airwaves as a pop song because all the elements of a regular, written song are displayed here. It just goes to show how skilled this DJ is because by mixing the elements of house with good musical fundamentals, he's more than just beats and an occasional riff/voice here and there. The other mixes are also worth giving a good hear too. They're not just fillers that are average compared to the original Kaskade versions. I recommend the Cabin Crew Radio Edit and the Mario Fabriani remixes. And for $4, it's not bad of a deal.
  • HOT!

    Love the new sound!

In my opinion, this is Kaskade's best track ever. I don't know why it's just coming out now though, as it's a bit older of a track, I think it was out on the JTM label, and appeared on the Sanfran Soul Sess. disc he did. but I was never able to find it on vinyl anywhere. It's more in the vein of "It's You, It's Me" than some of his other tunes that have come out lately (which I'm not really a fan of.) Anyway, the remixes are all in place and seem good enough, but the extended original is just so good I'm glad to finally have the full cut of it.
  • Heck ya!

Rock this...great driving tune. Turn it up when your feeling down. Loved all the remixes.

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
