Reviews For Redemption - EP By Artist GACKT

  • A first for me...

    By lv90047
Okay, I don't normally listen to rock-ish songs but I felt this one deserved some attention! Track 1: REDEMPTION This was the first song I ever heard from Gackt. And let me tell was awesome. I loved the vocals he put into this song! It was soothing and yet it scared the s%&$ out of me! *Laughs* I know. I shouldn't of said that! xD But that's how I feel (10/10) Track 2: Longing When I heard the beat, I found myself bobbing my head uncontrollably! The instruments here were really good! In fact, it literally made me wanna learn how to play guitar---and I can't play a tune if it were to save my life! (10/10) Tracks 3 & 4: Instrumentals I have nothing to say on this topic. The instrumentals are ALWAYS amazing! (10/10) Gackt did an interesting job here. Plus he isn't too bad looking! Lol. Sorry! I couldn't help myself! xD Overall, a pretty decent single. I enjoyed listening to it very much. It makes me look forward to hearing his other works. Hopefully I'll love those, too. (^_^)
  • GACKT, another amazing album!

GACKT has done it again! This is one of my favorite albums. The first song from GACKT I ever heard was Redemption and it made me a GACKT fan! GACKT, I give you 5 stars!
  • Love Gackt

Gackt and all his music is inspiring to me. He is my favorite Japanese artist and I think he would always be. His voice always gets to me and won't let me stop listening. Thanks for the gift of your music always. Love you.

So yeah, Redemption is an amazing song. I don't even understand Japanese, but it doesn't matter. You can just FEEL the epicness emanating from the song! ^_^

I love Dirge of Cerberus. Especially with this music. I looked up Gackt immediately and fell in love with Lust for Blood.
  • Longing

    By FFVII Vincent Valentine
I heard Longing on Dirge of Cerberus the Final Fantasy VII game. (Go Vincent!) when I first heard it I just paused the game immediately. I loved it. And I also heard Redemption, GREAT song. Though I like Longing better.

This is a great album dispite only having 4 songs. Redemption is a great sounding song with great voccals and guitar. longing is a masterpiece all on its own with sound effects in the middle of the song it great. I just wist itunes had the Redemption Music Video.
  • FFVII LOVE!!!!!!!

    By ToxicVampire6606
I had bought this song a bit before FFVII: DOC and CC were released and the states (had no idea it was gonna be in FF). I'm glad that I've been able to buy Vincent's theme! WE ALL LOVE U VINCENT! BTW....anybody else notice that Gackt is wearing Genesis' outfit on the cover of the EP. Genesis was actually based off of and voiced by Gackt!! WE LOVE U BOTH DEARLY! Awesome songs! Highly recommended!
  • :p

longing ad redemption are both great songs but honestly thr whole new ima rockstar lets bang heads and rock out bro stuff with gackt is geting overrated. his older songs lyk missing and lu;na and memories and last song are all great fantastic classics which anybody who thinks they like gackt will probly like him more if they truly collected and listened to all of his music. altho if youve played Crisis core he does a great job of looking exactly like genesis. these songs would fit genesis more than vincent. longing is more of a vincent song genesis is more of a redemption type of guy. missing would be great theme for Final fantasy XIII instead of leona lewis.

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
