Reviews For Carmen Electra's Ultimate Workout Mix, Vol. 2 (60 Minute Non-Stop Workout Mix) By Artist Power Music Workout

  • not what I hoped for

    By stormycst
I bought the cd thinking I'd get an upbeat, fun mix for my cardio workout. This was disappointing. the music sounds good in the samples, but on my ipod, it all ran together. I found it to have too much bass and not enough balance. It felt like I was listening to one long, very long club tune. This is an okay mix, but I have better. I don't think I spent well on this one.
  • Simply put... GREAT WORKOUT!

That says it all... Go Carmen!!!
  • Totally rocks for GFIs or just worker-outers!

This Group Fitness Instructor LOVES this mix, and trust me--it's hard to please us! I can't wait to use it in spin class. Have a great workout, kids.

  • It "work"ed for me

    By AmyMat
The album definitely made me want to work out at a good pace. I can't say I'd listen to the album anywhere other than the gym though.
  • Well i think its great to workout too!!!

I love that people comment on things that they don't reaaly understand....its workout music!!! All i know when i am on the stair climber and hatin' it, these songs make me keep on going. Have you ever just put your iPod in hoping for the best and then you end up skipping every other song!?!? I am just sayin'!!! The beats and production rock and if it gets my A** smaller by making me move then i don't know what to tell ya....your listening to hard and not working hard enough!!! Go for a walk!!
  • Worked Great For My Workout!

    By Holly77
I didn't know that this kind of Music even existed. I love it! My workouts used to fluctuate up and down with the varying energey of my random playlists but never again. The steady beat and Hi-Energy Remixes keep me pumped all the way through my workouts. My favorite songs are "I Kissed a Girl" and "Pocketful of Sunshine." Hopefully all this working out will get my body tight like Carmen's.
  • This just shot chill down my spin...

    By Bassick
There is a reason I have my headphones and iPod on at the gym. I can't believe that remixes like this get produced, played and even put on sale. Now you'll have to excuse me while I go throw up!

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
