  • This song is hot

I was so excited that itunes had this song available. The quality of the song is great. I use it at school during assemblies. The only issue I do have is not with the track itself, but with itunes. After I purchased the song, I had to purchase the song again to use it as a ringtone on my phone. I thought this was a rip off because if the track was purchased LEGALLY, itune users should be able to use the track as a ringtone on our phones. I am very disappointed with this feature of itunes.
  • No, she didn't look happy......

....but she had recently lost several members of her family. My mother died a TIMELY and fully EXPECTED death after a long illness and a full life, and I still find myself often devastated and in tears ONE YEAR LATER!!!! Imagine losing your mother, brother, etc UNEXPECTEDLY, tragically, through murder! THIS is what I was thinking as I watched her being escorted onto the platform at that stadium. And I imagine that many, many of us were thinking the same thing. So it did not surprise me that she didn't greet us all with a big, bright, cheesy grin as she took that stage. What would've been going through my head if I was her? "Lord, don't let me collapse into tears until I'm done and out of public view! Just help me keep it together for these 2 minutes!" Now, the comparisons to Whitney. I have never been happier to hear that FINALLY someone has EARNED the right to be compared to perhaps the greatest performance of our National Anthem in the history of the Super Bowl!!!! And I can not and will not join this debate. Because I think both women deserve the top spot for equally extraordinary performances. I do have to say though that the orchestration of each was imaginative and creative. Whitney's made you want to say, "Yeah BABY, we're fu_king Americans. Don't F_CK with us!!!" Jennifer's made you want to say, "God, please watch over us all"
  • Nope .. sorry not into it.

  • Star's Star-spangled Banner

I agree Whitney Huston's rendition was great, however, I didn't cry..just listened. But when Jennifer sings it, I have goose-bumps, I cry and to be perfectly honest, it made me love a song heard so often and sung by so many that screw it up.... ...... Yes now I love the Star-Spangled Banner. Thank you Jennifer! from a 72 year old fan
  • Best Anthem So Far

    By ACSpinner
If this doesn't make you feel patriotic, I don't know what will. Or, just slow dance to it.
  • Jennifer Hudson rocked the Superbowl

She sings the National Anthem with such class and strength. It is visible that she is buredened but i think she uses it and focused her emotions into her singing which made it that much better! :)

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
