Okay, this is not Slipknot's best song. Before I Forget and Psychosocial are better; but then comes Dead Memories. This is an amazing song.

it is what it is; dead memories, accept it's the shorter 4minute version, and it sounds a bit wierd if you are used to the 4 and a half minute wersion

Anyone remeber Iowa? people=$hit? this is single is the dingle berry hanging off the @ss crack of Iowa. What happened to the anger? What happened to the intensity? The 5 star rating is because nobody ever really looks at the one star reviews.
  • Chris Lord-Alge Mix

The only difference between the single and album version is, the single version was mixed by none other than Mr. Chris Lord-Alge, the make it sound balls to the walls radio/single guy. To most, you would never hear a difference. To some, you can hear a more clear and well defined mix. Up to you if you want to spend the extra cash, but for my ears... worth it. It's only $0.99 and it's a great mix of the track.
  • Think its funny

I really think it is funny when people go "wow i really love this song even tho i bought the album and have it on there i bought this anyway, wow true maggot" look jackass just cuz you buy a single of a song from an album thats already out dose not make you a true maggot just shows you have money and you like to flaunt it. you dont need to buy eveything slipknot puts out its not worth it ya some of the stuff that they do put out is great but not every thing. just sit back injoy the music and keep it sic! i would have to say tho this album is not one of slipknots best, its little different but i still in joy it. (its like the softer side of slipknot) but anyway you cant bet SLIPKNOT the self titled cd or Iowa. but it will be nice to see were they go next (just hope it dont take four years to come out with another cd) KEEP IT SIC The David

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
