i'm 23. i grew up listening to acky breaky heart. but you know what? just b/c he sings it differently, or with a different beat and music than the older ones that your used to listening to, doesn't mean it's not country. country is more than just the music notes. it's about gettin muddy, workin hard, making an honest days living, true love, and the way we do things. music is changing all the time. it has to. otherwise there would be so many lawsuits for copywriting lyrics or music. if rock and roll never changed, we wouldn't have the rock we have today, or even southern rock for that matter. it would sound like '50's rock. i think that COLT FORD is doing an awesome job. TO ALL THOSE WHO DISLIKE COLT FORD, I THINK YOUR JUST SHOWING YOUR AGE. JUST LIKE YOUR PARENTS DID TO YOU WHEN U WERE YOUNG, LISTENING TO OZZY, OR CCR, OR CROSBY, STILLS, AND NASH.

As some one that grew up in the south and was exposed to all genres of music including country and rap along with all others I love his music. I think its amazing how natrual and easy he mixed the two genres of music. It might not be for every one but I will be listening to his music while I'm driving down the road swervin' in my lifted ford pick-up with my subs kickin' whether you like it or not 'cause that's just " Country Is As Country Does"!!!

Colt ford is giving country music a bad name. I was listening to pandora and him singing dirt road anthem live... It makes me shudder just thinking about it. Colt ford, give up your dream of country rap. A.K.A. Crap.

I've been listening to country since 2001. And I've seen its decline. I listen to country because I don't wanan listen to that rap crap where you can hardly understand the words. I listen to country because I love the message and feeling that good artists can bring. If he wants to sing some of these songs the way he does he needs to find a new genre. Country music isn't soley based on the lyrics. It's all about the feeling behind that southern voice. They put pop in my country... and I don't like it and will never listen to Colt Ford unless he seriously changes.

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see § Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
