Just watched Kim Cruse sing this song on The Voice I had to download the original.
  • Best of the late and great Jeff Porcaro

It is so easy to see why lots of popular artists wanted Jeff Porcaro to play drums on their albums. He lent his own signature groove and style to a certain song that needed a strong driving beat. There are so many that come to mind such as Like A Prayer by Madonna. Lido Shuffle and Lowdown by BozScaggs. Running With The Night by Lionel Richie. Silly Love Songs by Paul McCartney from Give my regards to BroadStreet. All Toto hits from the debut album to Kingdom of Desire. And lots more like Slipping Away Part 2 and Moodido the Match boxing theme from the 1.984 Summer Olympics soundtrack. FM by Steely Dan.Private Dancer by Tina Turner and mega hits by the Pointer Sisters and also by the Righteous Brothers.I keep forgetting by Michael McDonald and lots lots more. I don't think that any other drummer could ever match in style and technique what Jeff Porcaro possessed. He is still regarded as the best session drummer of all time. He leaves a lasting legacy that will never go away. And forever in my dreams he will always remain playing drums on my heartstrings. Meow Meow and Meow! Still number one and a true legend. And playing drums up in heaven.

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time to produce a composition through the elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. It is one of the universal cultural aspects of all human societies. General definitions of music include common elements such as pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Different styles or types of music may emphasize, de-emphasize or omit some of these elements. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques ranging from singing to rapping; there are solely instrumental pieces, solely vocal pieces (such as songs without instrumental accompaniment) and pieces that combine singing and instruments. The word derives from Greek ฮผฮฟฯ…ฯƒฮนฮบฮฎ (mousike; "(art) of the Muses"); see ยง Etymology and glossary of musical terminology.

Music can be divided into genres (e.g., country music) and genres can be further divided into subgenres (e.g., country blues and pop country are two of the many country subgenres), although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to personal interpretation, and occasionally controversial. For example, it can be hard to draw the line between some early 1980s hard rock and heavy metal. Within the arts, music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art or as an auditory art. Music may be played or sung and heard live at a rock concert or orchestra performance, heard live as part of a dramatic work (a music theater show or opera), or it may be recorded and listened to on a radio, MP3 player, CD player, smartphone or as film score or TV show.
